Joe Jackson

Why see Joe Jackson?

Two Rounds Of Racket Tour 2024

Emerging into the music world in the late seventies/early eighties, Joe Jackson first hit it big with his track "Is She Really Going Out With Him?", followed up by the classic "Steppin' Out".

Now the English singer-songwriter is back on North American stages in summer 2024 on his extensive 'The Two Rounds Of Racket' tour. With the evening split into two stages, fans can expect to hear some of Jackon's iconic classics, alongside tunes from his new album 'What A Racket' that plays tribute to Max Champion, a lost voice from the British Music Hall genre of the early 20th century.

Joe Jackson with his four piece band was extrodinary. It was an intimate portrait of a musican with miles and miles of good work, his voice is clear and strong, his band is tight and the drummer is really amazing.... as is the guitarist and the bass. I thoroughly enjoyed this night. The Shubert is an intimate venue no matter where you sit. ... Read more

"I don't know what we did to upset Nashville..." he muttered with a smile. Well, I don't know, either, but those who stayed away missed a powerful, intimate concert. Jackson covered his career in a concert that spanned just under two hours. The smallish audience was delighted by old favorites like "Sunday Papers" and "Another World," as well as cuts off his latest album (Fast Forward) such as "King of the City" and "Ode to Joy." Based on the turnout, you couldn't blame Joe if he never comes to Nashville again. But here's hoping he forgives the slight and returns often. ... Read more
