Why see Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra - Anne Sophie Mutter, John Williams?
Star studded
Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra bring together a star studded line-up of friends and performers for a special one-off concert! In the year of her 60th birthday, famed violinist extraordinaire Anne-Sophie Mutter takes the spotlight, joined by her longtime collaborator and friend, the iconic composer John Williams, as well as a slew of other talents from her personal circle of friends, including pianist Yefim Bronfman and the up-and-coming cellist Pablo Ferrandez. Leading on conductor duties is the Finnish maestro Susanna Malkki.
On the program is a showcase of Mutter's talents through Beethoven's thrilling Triple Concerto, featuring Bronfman and Ferrandez. After that, John Williams will take over the baton, working with Mutter and the orchestra to perform some selections from his own glittering career. Do not miss it!
